Lookout Mountain Hike

Please join Daniel and friends for an exciting hike around Lookout Mountain. See the city from an elevated vantage point. Please be present 10 minutes before the hike for sign-in and inquiries.

Water and a snack bar will be provided for energy and the ever-important hydration.

Lookout Mountain Circumference Trail info

• Difficulty: Moderate
• Circumference: 2.2 miles
  
• Optional Summit: .6 miles
  
• Elevation Gain: 295 feet
  
• Access:  Start from Lookout Mountain Trailhead. Proceed to Lookout Mountain Circumference Trail.
  
• Description: "Lookout Mountain Circumference Trail is a natural desert material trail. The trail offers excellent views of surrounding mountain, north phoenix and east towards Scottsdale as well as nearby Shadow Mountain, North Mountain, and Shaw Butte" (City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation). "This is a very popular area for hiking, running, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are November through April. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash "(AllTrails).

Parking is limited, carpooling recommended.
