As a member, you should WANT TO BE INVOLVED in the operation of DA! The Core Meeting's success is thanks to members who choose to be more than a member. Put a notch in your belt, and choose to become an Officer. Give a year and help steer us into new adventures!

The Core Group meets monthly to review where we've been and plan where we go next. These meetings are open to all members. You too should be a part of planning our future.

Annual DA Audit (05/31/2026)

We are looking for VOLUNTEERS. We need YOU!

Our audit consists of an examination of the DA financial records to be sure that all funds are recorded and spent accurately.

As a member of Desert Adventures Inc., you need to know the organization is managing your money and interests scrupulously.

All interested members can come to help validate our financials.

Roy Mead will be overseeing the audit and available for direction and questions throughout the process. The audit will take only 30 to 60 minutes.

Bisbee Pride and Camping (06/19/2026)

Bisbee Pride is an annual three-day festival held on Father’s Day weekend.

Celebrate with the LGBTQ+ community in Bisbee with a parade, live music, a pool party, a doggy drag show, and many more fun events.

Bisbee Pride began in 2004 with a small group of LGBT friends. From a small local Pride celebration, it has grown into a year-round, community service-focused non-profit organization that enjoys strong support from the local community.

The Pride Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. in Old Bisbee on Saturday, June 19. It starts at the historic Cochise County Courthouse, winds down Tombstone Canyon and Main Street, and concludes at the Copper Queen Library.

Hey everyone

WE'RE GOING TO BE IN THE PARADE!!!

Think about having a fun time this June in Bisbee for their PRIDE PARADE and FESTIVITIES. Register to join your DA friends in Bisbee for this great event. Registration includes a DA t-shirt. Deadline for registration is June 3rd, we will be ordering the shirts on the 4th in order to have them in time for Bisbee. We're going to be in the parade!!!

Desert Adventures is not making reservations for accommodations. You will need to make your reservations.

We have found a great way to stay in Bisbee at the DESERT OASIS RV PARK. I have checked their web site and the rates are amazing. Instead of paying $100 to $200 a night at a hotel, look below and see how affordable (I know Trump hates that word) the rates are at Desert Oasis. First, they have accommodations for RVs trailers, tenting and trailer rentals. All campers get the full use of the campground and clubhouse amenities.

For your RV or Camper Trailer

Full hook-up rates: including water and electricity. Tax is extra.

$39 a day for 30 amp elec. $41 a day for 50amp elec. If you have more than 2 people in your group, it is an additional $5 per extra person.

For dry RV hook-ups:

$30 plus tax without electricity. With 110v 20amp It is $35 per day and more than 2 people it is still $5 extra per person.

Dry tent camping

Without electricity, $25 per day: with electricity $30 per day.

Here is the best deal for all you non-campers:

Glamping Cabins: $45 per day plus tax for one or two people. There is a $20 dollar cleaning fee per stay. A $10 pet fee per stay. You can also ask them about Jayco RV rental for $59.

Think about how much cheaper it is than a Hotel in Bisbee and it is only 6 miles from downtown. So nights and mornings are going to be nice and quiet.

Don't forget to select your shirt size when you register. The shirts will be white with the Rainbow Father Sky on the front and Desert Adventures.Org on the back. These shirts are Unisex sizes so ladies keep that in mind when selecting a size.

Summer Members' Pool Party (06/28/2026)

Come enjoy an afternoon at Deby's beautiful home in Mesa. Bring your swimsuit and towel! Join your Desert Adventures friends for an afternoon of sun, swimming, great conversation and fantastic food!

Pool toys and yard games will be available. You are welcome to bring your favorite yard game/pool toy.

Dinner will be served about 5:00 pm. DA will provide Italian Beef . We request you bring a summer appetizer or side dish to share. Please select a suggestion when you register.

This event is BYOB (Adult Beverages). DA will provide water.

Join Desert Adventures and save $15.00 on this activity with additional savings all year. The cost to join Desert Adventures is $25.00 annually.

Black Canyon Rim Camping (07/02/2026)

Black Canyon Rim Campground, (elevation 7600 ft) set among towering ponderosa pine, is a favorite stopping place for those traveling on the General Crook National Recreation Trail. Fishing and boating opportunities are popular at Black Canyon Lake which is located 3 miles northeast along Forest Road 86. The historical grave site of Stott, Scott, and Wilson, three young men lynched during the Pleasant Valley War, is located within walking distance of the campground.

Fishing and boating are available on Black Canyon Lake, approximately 2.5 miles northeast of the campground.

Each campsite offers a campfire ring with grill and picnic table. Additional amenities include accessible vault toilets, drinking water and trash service. Access is on both sand and gravel roads. A campground host is available at the site.

Gas, phone, and groceries are available 8 miles west at Forest Lakes.

Approximately 3 miles south of the junction of State Highway 260 and Forest Road 300. Forest Road 300 (south) is located 13 miles west of Heber, Arizona. Access the campground off Forest Road 300 via Forest Road 86.

Located within the Heber Wild Horse territory, herds of wild horses are often seen running through the area and stopping at Black Canyon Lake for water.
