Desert Adventures holds two meetings every month
A social meeting and a core group meeting

MONTHLY SOCIAL MEETING

We meet at 7 pm on the first Tuesday of each month and socialize until 7:30 pm when the meeting begins.

The social meeting is where you will learn about upcoming trips and activities from the trip leaders.  They'll have flyers about their trips available and you can ask any questions you may have about what you need to do to participate.

Guests are encouraged to attend the Monthly Social Meeting.

Desert Adventures was created as a hiking and camping club but our "adventures" have expanded to include a variety of additional activities such as shopping, museums, pool parties, tubing, brunches, movies and much more!

After a break we talk about new ideas, soliciting and working to add new trips to our schedule. If you have an idea for adding a new adventure to our roster or would like to help in leading or assisting in adding a new activity, this is time to do so.

The location for our Monthly Social Meeting is:

The Community Church of Hope
4121 North 7th Avenue
Phoenix, AZ
85013
(web site)

Even though the address is 7th Avenue the entrance and parking is on 6th Drive (get directions)

CORE GROUP MEETING

Our second monthly meeting is our core group/activities meeting.  This is where the details of the club are hammered out.  This is where we plan the schedule for upcoming adventures.  If you have an idea for a trip you want to lead you can present it to the officers at the activities meeting (or you can contact the activities director at the monthly social meeting).

The core group meeting is where we go over the nuts and bolts of running Desert Adventures. This is not a closed door meeting but because specific club business is discussed, those that are not participating directly may find it somewhat dull.

The Core Group Meeting is held on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM. The location of the meeting varies from month to month. We'll announce the location at the monthly social meeting or contact an officer for directions.
